MOBOTIX cameras possess
integral week-time and event
control.
This enables the transmission of
alarm messages (telephone,
e-mail) and the saving of images
to be triggered in response to
events and/or at specified
times. Events can be prompted by
internal camera sources or by
external signals, such as via
the switch input or a network
signal. Internal camera sources
which can trigger off events
are:
- video motion detection,
- microphone volume,
- passive infrared detector,
- overheating inside the camera.
Furthermore, periodic recordings or shots are also possible at certain times every hour, every weekday or every month. MOBOTIX cameras also offer the option of analyzing character strings on the serial port or via network messages and of calling up an event on a data-dependent basis. For more information go to serial interface RS232.
In addition to saving image sequences, the events can also trigger audio messages via the camera speaker, alarm messages to the telephone or image transfer to the Internet by FTP or e-mail.
The switch output on the camera can be operated on an event-controlled basis with its own time control and can, for example, be set in such a way that, on weekdays, it is activated in the dark in order to switch on a spotlight via a relay.
