Image Formats
MOBOTIX cameras use a CMOS image sensor with a hardware resolution
of 1280 x 960 pixels. The
following image formats can be
selected as standard by
combining:
-
Mega: 1280 x 960 pixels,
-
VGA: 640 x 480 pixels,
-
CIF: 320 x 240 pixels,
-
Small: 160 x 120 pixels.
MOBOTIX cameras support zoom
and pan functions. If VGA (640 x
480 pixels) is selected as the
output format,
-
the megapixel
image may be
combined to VGA at
1x zoom, or
|
|
-
a VGA detail can
be taken from the
megapixel image
position-free (PAN)
at 2x zoom,
or
|
|
-
a CIF detail can
be taken
position-free (PAN)
at 4x zoom
and be enlarged to
VGA.

In addition, user-specific image sizes can also be derived
from the entire image area. Therefore, a 1000 x 400 pixel image
strip can be taken from the megapixel image and be reduced to a 500
x 200 pixel image through combination in the camera. The frame rate
will vary according to the number of pixels that are actually
transmitted.
