MOBOTIX cameras are developed and manufactured exclusively in Germany. MOBOTIX does not use any other makes of camera modules; it solders the image sensors directly onto the motherboard. The lenses of the megapixel camera models have been specially developed for MOBOTIX and are located in a fiberglass housing where the temperature remains stable.

24-Hour Test Each MOBOTIX camera undergoes a stringent 24-hour test and has to be able to withstand two hours in the climatic cabinet at +60° Celsius. In addition, the weather-proof cameras undergo a leak test with a vacuum. |
MOBOTIX cameras are very reliable. They are particularly renowned for their software stability. The camera software is monitored continuously in-process by special hardware and software components in the actual camera. Possible anomalies are logged. This data can be downloaded during a service in the factory or via the Internet. MOBOTIX analyses it regularly in order to enhance reliability on an ongoing basis. We are not aware of any problems resulting from the software "hanging".
In order to safeguard the reliability of the MOBOTIX products following delivery, there are about 50 cameras running round the clock in all modes in the company's test lab; they are monitored electronically.
